Check out my swatches from relatively new Essie color Mink Muffs. It was released last fall as part of Essie’s Autumn collection. Beige, brown and earth tones have been popular as of late, and this hue is right up my alley. To spice it up a little I used OPI, Sapphire in the Snow and Konad Stamping Art Plate m64, Swarvorski rhinestones (size #5) and China Glaze Fairy Dust glitter to decorate my middle fingers.
What do you think?

Love her or hate her, no one can deny how all of a sudden everyone wants to look like rapper Nicki Minaj. Girls have been sporting Nicki’s signature black and pink coif, corsets, and legging looks every since Minaj has hit the scene. Nicki’s fashion taste is definitely not one that I would try to emulate, but I must admit her nails are looking quite nice in this pic. Plus this is the most subdued I’ve seen Ms. Minaj, known for her animated and quirky rap style, in a minute.
What do you think of Nicki Minaj’s nails? What do you make of Minaj’s influence on urban fashion?

MAC is constantly collaborating with designers, artists and celebrities on new and fresh collections. The newest collab comes from Liberty of London a luxury accessories and fashion brand. The collection features bright and colorful lipsticks, glosses, shadow and of course nail polish. Vestral White is a cream based (which was previously released with the Hello Kitty collection) white while Blue India Dark green blue with pearl. The packaging is adorable, replacing MAC’s signature satin black is white with floral/pastoral patterns.
Check out Temptalia for the full range of cosmetics, including a limited edition scarf.

MAC keeps the collections coming, this time with Riveting, a collection inspired by all the metal and hardware that’s been popular in fashion lately.
Rock Goddesses are never afraid to strut their stuff and step up to the spotlight. This is a rock-steady metal collection that pays homage to their strength and power! A fashion trend, true, but oh-so-much more is what makes these girls Riveting.
The lacquers from this collection are all matte and feature three collors, Studded (silver), Black Enough For You (black) and Wham Bam Glam (brown).
I don’t think I’ll try any lacquers from this collection, especially since I already have a matte top coat. Maybe I’ll try the lipsticks
What do you think of Riveting?

Hey Varnished fanatics! I’ve been having a rough week, so sorry for the lack of posts. Here’s some swatches of Chopsticking to My Story from the new Hong Kong collection by OPI. I absolutely adore this color, it’s nothing like I currently have or seen. It’s a cream based polish in a burnt orange-caramel shade. The color is much more subdued than it appears in the photos. I also am wearing Seche base coat and Seche Vite Top Coat.
Don’t forget to check the Gallery page for more swatches!

A congratulations is in order for the New Orleans Saints, the winners of the 2009 Super Bowl. Of course Kim Kardashian was on deck proudly rooting for her man, Reggie Bush. To celebrate the win, Kim sported black and gold Minx nails, with the letters BUSH and #25! Uber cute! This is the New Orleans Saints first Super Bowl win and first time ever in the Super Bowl period.

I was pleasantly surprised when co-worker and friend Nema, randomly dropped off Chocolate Kiss by Essie on my desk! It’s a perfect shade for Valentine’s day, I think Essie has packaged it along with several other Valentine’s day worthy shades.
What do you think of Chocolate Kiss!
Please bare with my pictures, I’m still getting the hang of this!

I’ve been waiting for a while now for the newest OPI collection to release. OPI has been to France and Spain and now their taking us to Hong Kong with the all new Spring/Summer 2010 collection. The collection boasts of bright colors like. Jade is the New Black (green), Suzi Says Feng Shui (blue), A Good Man-darin is Hard to Find (Orange). I’m happy to see these colors for the spring instead of the usual pastels or the trendy neon nails from years past. I’ve already ordered I’m Chopsticking to My Story which is a caramel color. Stay tuned for the swatches!
*Sidebar* OPI has always been known for their tongue and cheek nail polish names, but a friend of mine suggested that these names were a little suspect, (A Good Man-darin is Hard to Find, I’m Chopsticking To My Story, Panda-monium) Is she on to something, or no?
What are your favorite colors from OPI’s Hong Kong Collection?
